This initiative represents a significant turning point in the off-road racing landscape, as for the first time these two races will virtually merge, spanning the start and end of the season events.
The Marathon del Salento has long been a cornerstone in the competition calendar, with its rich history and well-established tradition. Organized by Mtb Casarano and Terrarussa, this early season race attracts over a thousand participants every year, confirming itself as an unmissable event in the world of mountain biking. On the other hand, the Castro Legend Cup represents the end-of-season classic, a UCI race that closes the sporting year in style.
The FINIBUS TERRAE CUP is not just a competition, but an opportunity to consolidate the local cycling community, create new connections and promote the spirit of challenge and cooperation.

The FINIBUS TERRAE CUP will not only be an opportunity for mountain bikers to test their skills, but will also represent a vehicle for important issues such as culture, environmental protection and love for our land. Each of the two races, the Marathon del Salento and the Castro Legend Cup, will have its own peculiarities that will emphasize these aspects.
The Salento Marathon takes place on the Ionian coast in the evocative scenery of the Litorale di Ugento Regional Natural Park, with the unmissable departure from the “Pista Salentina”, it offers not only a challenging route but also the possibility of immersing yourself in a setting of exceptional natural beauty. Among the most representative historical-cultural elements of this area, the presence of “Zeus” stands out, adding a touch of mythology to the route, the settlements of the Messapian city of Fani and the land of the underground oil mills, creating a unique bond between the competition and the rich history of Salento.
On the other hand, the Castro Legend Cup takes place along the Adriatic coast with the colorful start from Port of Castro”. In the setting of the Otranto-Leuca Coast Regional Natural Park and the Tricase forest among the challenging single tracks on the cliff overlooking the sea and the Roman-era pavements. The goddess “Athena” is the historical-cultural element that has become an integral part of the competition logo.
This combination thus becomes not only an opportunity to challenge oneself, but also a way to appreciate and preserve the surrounding ecosystem and the history of the Puglia Region.
