On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the ASD Ciclo Club Spongano will host the 9th edition of the CASTRO LEGEND CUP, a race included in the UCI-International Cycling Union (Class 1) calendar, featuring the world’s top ranked bikers.
Everyone can participate! This means all Italian and foreign citizens, both male and female, aged 18 and over, in competitive and amateur categories, registered with the FCI or a foreign federation affiliated with the U.C.I., or with a Sports Promotion Body recognized by the National Cycling Council. Athletes not affiliated with any ASD can participate in the event on both the hiking route and the XCP (CLASSIC) route by requesting a FCI daily membership card directly on the ENDU platform and attaching their competitive sports medical certificate (FCI daily membership card costs €20).

THE RACES:
1) ID 178741 – UCI XCM RACE (MARATHON) – The race route is 65 km long, starting at 9:00 am. All FCI competitive athletes (M/F) and Masters (M/F) are eligible to participate. CASH PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TOP 10 OVERALL (M/W) – THERE WILL BE NO CATEGORY PRIZES.

2) ID 178742 – XCM-N RACE (MARATHON combined with National). This race is valid for the Puglia Regional Championship. The race route is 65 km long, starting at 9:05 am. All FCI Master athletes (M/F) and FCI affiliated bodies (ELMT-M8) with valid membership are eligible to participate in the race.
AWARDS CEREMONY FOR THE FIRST 5 in their category (M/W).

3) ID 178743 – XCP-N RACE (National Point to Point combined).
The race route is 59 km long, starting at 9:10 am.
ONLY JUNIOR competitive athletes (M/F) are eligible to participate in the race. AWARDS CEREMONY FOR THE FIRST 3 OVERALL (M/F).

4) HIKING COURSE.
JMT Master athletes (who are not eligible to participate in the National XCM and XCP courses) are eligible to participate in the event, as are all Master athletes, both registered and non-registered, who hold a non-competitive medical certificate. The event is non-competitive and all participating athletes must comply with the Highway Code. All enthusiasts, including e-bikes, are welcome to participate.

The race route is 35 km in total. – THERE WILL BE NO AWARDS CEREMONY
The various race rules will be published on the event website.

Race pack pickup will take place at the same time as race bib pickup, with the purchase of a chip mandatory.

The Pasta Party coupon will still be available for purchase on the day of the event in the race village.

The chip provided will be disposable and costs €3, payable when picking up your race bib or any other gadgets.
There will be no refunds for the fee or participation in next year’s event. However, you can activate a refund policy directly on the ENDU platform.
